Maternity Photo Shoot

Wow. It’s been a while since I have been on here. I am excited to start blogging again about my life and fashion. Life has been crazy these last couple of years and I feel sad that I completely just stopped blogging. I am going to try harder this time to keep up with my posts.

In the last couple of years, I purchased a home, got married to the love of my life and are now expecting our first baby boy! He is due in January, 2020! We are super excited and can’ wait fr our new adventure! God has blessed us in so many ways. We are so grateful for everything he has provided for us.

We had our maternity shoot a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun! My friend Laila has her photography business, Katsu Ever After Photography and I reached out to her to see if she could take my maternity photos. Luckily she had some slots available for us!

The place she selected was beautiful! Lots of trees and dry grass. It was exactly what I had pictured. The photos came out amazing! I cried when she sent me some sneak peaks!

I had the longest time deciding what to wear. I knew I wanted to do something different and not a maxi dress. Luckily, an online store, Shop Pink Blush reached out and asked me to be an ambassador. Once I joined, they asked me to chose a dress of my choice. I chose a long bell sleeve velvet wrap dress: Mauve Solid Self Tie Velvet Wrap Dress. I decided on that dress because it was different and comfortable. LOL. I loved the way it turned out with the scenery and went well with what my husband was wearing.

I did do my shoot a little earlier since the holidays were coming and I wasn’t too huge yet. I felt really good at the moment. I definitely recommend taking your maternity pictures early.

Below you will see some of my favorites from my shoot, Hopefully it will inspire all of you pregnant mamas to be!

I hope you have a great week ahead of you!

Leopard Faux Fur

Ok, so at first I didn’t think I would be able to pull off a leopard print faux fur coat at all! I kept looking at it and picturing all these cool outfits I could wear it with. So, I finally made my mind up and got it! After I purchased it, the weather started to warm up, so I was bummed I couldn’t wear it right away! Finally, it began to be cool again and I got to wear it!

I paired it with a white body suit with lace trim, with the frayed jeans I always wear (my favorite) and pink velvet booties. I loved the way it looked! So classy and glamourous! I cant wait to wear it again soon! This was such a good buy and I’m so happy I have it! I know I will wear it for plenty of seasons! Hope you got some inspiration on how to style your next leopard print outfit!

Cheers! xoxo

Pink Faux Leather Jacket

You Guys! I finally came across a pink (faux) leather jacket! I was so happy! Can you tell? I had to purchase it right away! I had been looking for one for months! I had already purchased one while I was in Mexico, but that one was a lighter blush pink and it is real leather. This one is cropped and has more details on it. I knew I could make quite a few outfits from it and wear it all seasons! It is definitely a key piece in any wardrobe, only its way more fun than a black leather jacket! I believe everyone should own a black leather jacket…its a staple! Hope you all enjoy the outfit I came up with! It is super fun and colorful for spring!

Blush pink trench

This is only my second time wearing this blush pink trench coat! Today, I decided to do a simple look with it by pairing light wash denim jeans and a solid white tank. I accessories it with minimal jewelry and lace up nude flats! It was a very simple outfit, but it still made a statement! Always try to keep one piece of your outfit the statement piece and keep everything else low key. Always works for me! Hope you can try it next time when styling your outfit!

Tropical Floral Pants

When I first laid eyes on these pants, I knew I had to get them! It was a necessary purchase! I pictured plenty of outfits to wear with them all spring and summer long! My first outfit with them was simple. I wanted to make the pants the focal point of my outfit, so I paired it with a sleeveless tank knot from Brandy Mellville (Nordstrom) and my favorite flats!

Monday Blues.

I got this pocket tee and I styled it with high waisted dark blue denim, tucked in my shirt a bit and finished off the look with my silver wingtip platforms. It was the perfect casual look for a Monday! I pulled this look off with my pocket tee as my inspiration. That’s always the best way to go when you’re having trouble styling an outfit!

Ballerina Flats

I have been looking for a pair of pointy ballerina flats for a while now. I bumped into these on Zara online and I had to have them! I mean they have pink and silver on them! And they tie up at the ankle! It was an easy purchase to make! I know they will be the statement piece of my outfits! These will look great with skinny jeans, skirts, and dresses!

Here is the link in case you wanted to purchase them as well!
